ISEE/SSAT
Both the ISEE and the SSAT are used for admission to private middle and high schools and test Vocabulary, Math and Reading Comprehension. Many schools will accept either test for admission, which gives you the option of choosing the test that better suits you and your abilities.
ELPAC
The ELPAC is the test that is used to measure how well students in kindergarten (K) through grade twelve understand English when it is not their primary language.
SAT/ACT
The SAT and ACT are exams that are used for college admission decisions and awarding merit-based scholarships. Both tests generally cover the same topics. Most colleges do not prefer one test over the other, and they are neither harder than the other. Different students tend to do better on one test over the other.
ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP)
The AP program allows students in high school to pursue college-level studies. Corresponding AP Exams are then administered at the end of the school year. Taking AP courses and exams can help students send out on college applications and can earn them college credit and/or skip introductory courses in college.
